We’re still very excited here about our latest book Strategic Tales. This is our output from a series of interviews we conducted in 2012, with experts from a wide variety of fields related to our work including: neuroscience, health policy, pharmaceuticals, nanoscience, global health, clinical delivery, health philanthropy, sport, business and technology; leaders and evangelists all.

What will be the biggest single change in healthcare in the next 10 years?

“The existing model of secondary care based institutions is not sustainable. A number of factors are converging: demographics (an increasing ageing population, and an increasing in the co-morbid population), technology and finance which will drive a different direction.” Nick Goodwin – The King’s Fund
“The integration of health infomatics and ‘savvy’ health consumers. One other notable area of change, will be a lessened focus on the role of technology, and more on the everyday activities of the individual as a ‘health aware’ health consumer.” Mariann Hardey –Associate Director for the Centre of Communication Science at Durham University
“This all relates to funding and economics. The nature of the relationship between citizen and state will change: Who pays for what? When? For which conditions?” Dan Wellings – Head of Public Policy Research Social Research, Ipsos MORI
